Q: Do our villas have satellite TV?
A: Both villas have 2 TV’s with one Satellite decoder showing all the normal UK channels. However we are on the outer limit of the transmission footprint and there can be some loss of signal around dusk and in heavy precipitation. This is quite normal for Cyprus. We also have DVD and VCR players together with a variety of radios.
Q: Is a car required?
A: We recommend that guests reserve a car. Villa ‘Sounion’ is close to all amenities including a public transport system to both Paphos and Coral Bay, a car is not a necessity here. You will need a car at ‘The Carob Trees’ although easily available taxis could suffice if you are looking to have a truly lazy holiday.
Q: What is the required length of stay?
A: Normally a minimum 7-night stay is required.
Q: What is your deposit and cancellation policy?
A: A 30% deposit is required to hold a reservation. The balance of your payment must be paid 2 months prior to your arrival date. In the event of you cancelling the booking, no refund is made. We recommended that you take out Travel Insurance.
Q: Do mobile phones work in Cyprus?
A: We can provide a mobile phone working on the local Cyta network if you give us a minimum of 2 months notice. We do not charge for this service. Your UK based mobile phone should operate normally but could cause high charges especially when phoning UK
Q: Are Visas Required?
A: Visas are not required for EEC passport holders although a full passport valid for at least 3 months from your date of return is required. If you do not hold an EEC Passport, or require any further Visa information, we recommend that you contact the Cyprus High Commission (Tel: 0207 499 8272), before you book your villa, to check whether a visa is required in your case.
Q: Are Vaccinations Required?
A: No, inoculations or vaccinations are not compulsory for UK residents, but the DHSS does recommend certain health precautions for travellers - see their leaflets SA40 and SA41 for details (obtainable from your local Dept. of Health office) or ask your doctor. Unlike the UK, prescription drugs are freely available over the counter at most chemists However, if you need any form of medication, take adequate supplies with you and carry them, as well as items like contact lenses, in your hand luggage only.
